For the month of January we will continue with the student schedule we are currently following. Lower and Upper Elementary students will continue to report daily. The Middle and High School students will continue on the Hybrid schedule (See attached schedule).
Please understand this is always subject to change depending on many factors, however, at this point this is my plan. We will decide in January as a group how to move forward after January.

Summer Food Service Program – Extended through May 25, 2021

The Summer Food Service Program has been extended until May 25, 2021. Breakfast
and lunch will continue to be available for free to all FCSD students for the rest of the
school year. Please call 601-384-5196 if you have any questions.

Franklin County School District will resume traditional schedule beginning October 13.

Beginning August 31, 2020 at home learners enrolled in the Franklin County School District may pick up meals at the High School cafeteria on the days they are learning at home. Elementary, Middle School and High School students will pick up meals in the circle in front of the High School Cafeteria. Meals will be available from 11:00 am – 11:30 am each weekday that school is in session. At this time, students must be present to pick up their meals. Students will be asked for their lunch number at the time of pick up. We are applying for a waiver that would allow parent pick up and if this is approved more information will be provided.
“A” day students can pick up meals on Tuesday, Thursday and the Friday that they are learning from home. “B” day students can pick up meals on Monday, Wednesday and the Friday they are learning at home.

We know that parents have been eagerly anticipating information about Franklin County Lower Elementary School's Preschool and Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year since the community is accustomed to that event occurring on the day before the Good Friday holiday. The decision has been made to hold Preschool registration only on May 20 at 9:00 a.m. on the school's campus. Parents should bring a pen and their documents (child's birth certificate, Form 121 or shot record, Social Security Card, and 2 proofs of residency showing their 911 address). Kindergarten registration, along with grades 1st-3rd, will be held during the summer.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Due to the governor’s order given on 4/1/20 the Franklin County School district has no choice but to end our feeding program after Friday, April 3. This includes bus routes and the parking lot at the High School. This decision is for the health and safety of our staff as well as our community.
At this time, student work packets will continue to be available at the school sites and on our district webpage at franklincountyschoolsms.com.
